Under the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector Regulations, landlords in England must ensure their properties are inspected and tested by a qualified person at least every five years.

The 2025 Landlord Safety Package
1. Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)

What it is: A deep-dive “health check” of your property’s fixed wiring, fuse box, and sockets.
Our Process: We identify any potential hazards (coded C1, C2, or FI) and provide a digital report within 24 hours.
Satisfactory Results: If your report is “Unsatisfactory,” we provide a free, no-obligation quote for the necessary remedial works to get you to “Satisfactory” status.
2. Smoke & Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarms
Smoke Alarms: Legal requirement for at least one smoke alarm on every storey used as living accommodation.
CO Alarms: Mandatory in any room with a fixed combustion appliance (boilers, wood burners, gas fires).
Testing: We perform the mandatory “Day 1” tenancy test and ensure all units are interlinked for maximum safety.
3. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
While not always a legal requirement for all private rentals, it is highly recommended for any appliances you provide (fridges, toasters, kettles). We offer discounted PAT testing when booked alongside an EICR.
