Powering Up Sidcup: A Look at Our Latest Hypervolt EV Charger Installation

Making the switch to an electric vehicle (EV) is an exciting milestone. But to truly get the most out of your new EV, having a reliable, fast, and smart home charger is a game-changer.

Recently, the PLS Electrical team was out in Sidcup helping a local homeowner upgrade their charging setup with a brand-new Hypervolt EV charger.

Here is a behind-the-scenes look at why this is one of our favourite units to install and what goes into a professional, tidy installation. But to truly get the most out of your new EV, having a reliable, fast, and smart home charger is a game-changer.

Why Choose the Hypervolt?

When our customers ask us for recommendations, the Hypervolt is always at the top of our list. It’s British-made, incredibly reliable, and packed with smart features that make life easier. Here is why it was the perfect fit for this Sidcup driveway:

Smart App Control: You can schedule your charging times directly from your phone to take advantage of cheaper off-peak energy tariffs.

Solar Compatibility: If you have solar panels, the Hypervolt can integrate beautifully, allowing you to charge your car using the sun’s energy.

Sleek Aesthetics: Let’s face it, nobody wants an ugly box on the front of their house. The Hypervolt features a clean, low-profile design with a signature LED ring that looks fantastic on any exterior wall.

The PLS Electrical Difference: Neat, Hidden, and Professional

Installing an EV charger isn’t just about bolting a unit to a wall; it’s about making sure the wiring is safe, compliant, and as invisible as possible.

For this installation in Sidcup, our team took extra care to route the cabling seamlessly. We lifted the floorboards to run the wiring neatly out of sight under the floor, ensuring there were no unsightly cables running along the interior walls or skirting boards.

Once outside, we meticulously measured and mounted the unit to the brickwork, ensuring a flawless finish. We treat every home as if it were our own, which means we never cut corners on the aesthetic details and we always clean up when the job is done.

Ready to Upgrade Your Home Charging?

Relying on public charging stations or a standard 3-pin plug can be slow and inconvenient.

Waking up to a fully charged battery every morning is the ultimate peace of mind.

If you are based in Sidcup, Kent, or the surrounding areas and are looking to install an EV charger at your home or business, the PLS Electrical team is here to help.

Phoned PLS in a panic when my electrics tripped and I lost half the power in my kitchen. Matthew didn’t disappoint, he was personable, efficient and tidy. More importantly, he got the job done in good time. I would highly recommend !

Matthew was absolutely brilliant. He spent around 2½ hours at my property and took enormous care, making sure everything was done properly and safely rather than rushing the job. He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly throughout — someone you immediately feel you can trust.

I have a high-ceilinged Victorian property, and his knowledge of the materials and construction behind the plaster was invaluable. I wouldn't hesitate to use Matthew again and would highly recommend PLS Electrical to anyone in Chislehurst or the wider area.

Matthew is an extremely honest and reliable electrician. My daughter accidentally pulled a light switch out of the socket, and he secured it safely straight away, putting my mind at ease. His workmanship was excellent, everything was completed efficiently, and he left the area clean and tidy. Matthew takes real pride in his work and prioritises safety. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and skilled electrician

A very good Electrician. He wired up my extension for my kitchen. Everything went to plan and the end price was exact to their quote. It all looks very good with downlights, pendants, cabinet lights and sockets. Thanks Matt.

We had wanted to get electrics in our shed but had no idea where to start so contacted PLS for some advice. Matthew took his time to listen to what we wanted to do and offered advice and suggestions to make sure we got the most of having electrics in the shed. A few days in the warm sun and a heavy duty external cable was run up the side of the garden to the shed where we now have sockets to charge the garden tools and a new light so we can actually find things regardless of the time of day! An external security light and power sockets were fitted as extras so we can get power without opening up the doors and have light if we want to sit outside.

We had a fair bit of work to get done and the price was explained clearly at the beginning. The extra work to get power on the outside was discussed and agreed beforehand and was much appreciated, and fairly priced , as he was already doing everything else at the time.

It’s always a worry getting people in and we were very happy with the completed work and have their number ready for the next project! Thank you

I am located in Larkfield Village, Aylesford Kent.

Such a breath of fresh air to find a honest reliable electrician. I have had several jobs done, all of which have been to an excellent standard.

Very trustworthy and well priced. Explained all the necessary works that needed to be completed and ensured that good health and safety measures were in place.

I will definitely use this company again and highly recommend them to any one that needs and Electrical work completed.
